Is my organization eligible to join Minalogic?
- In order to join, your organization must be a public or private legal entity that meets the following conditions:
- Operates in the Rhône-Alpes region a research and development facility whose activities contribute to the strategic objectives of the cluster
- Participates in an active Minalogic-certified project or an existing active cooperative research and development project (FRDP/IST, RNIT, or the Eurêka, nano2008, or JDP clusters) that has been reported to Minalogic and that has been deemed relevant to the cluster's strategic objectives
- Pays a yearly membership fee to Minalogic and has no outstanding balance
- Or, you must be an organization, local government, or group of local governments that promotes the emergence of activities consistent with the cluster's strategy and/or that contribute to furthering the cluster's objectives.
What are the benefits of membership?
Minalogic's mission is to use active networking and coordination to promote the emergence of collaborative, innovative R&D projects among cluster partners.
Minalogic certification has a number of benefits:
- Enhanced visibility for project leaders
- Access to funding
- Potential eligibility for targeted grants and tax incentives
In addition, Minalogic coordinates resources and tools that are available to all members and actively promotes technology transfer to industry.
What role do small and mid-sized businesses play in the cluster?
Minalogic has always involved small and mid-sized businesses in the cluster. In fact, small and mid-sized firms are represented on the Minalogic board of directors.
One of the key benefits of the cluster is that it enables businesses that otherwise would not have the opportunity to work together to build ties and collaborate on projects. Minalogic also links small businesses to university research laboratories for technology transfer projects and to large corporations for manufacturing projects.
How much does membership cost?
For 2010, membership fees range from €1,500 to €15,000 depending on the type and size of the organization and the number of R&D personnel within the cluster's geographical area.
