Minalogic

Grenoble's Institute for Technology Research in Nanoelectronics is one of the six institutes selected to receive funding under the French government's economic stimulus package.

Grenoble and Dresden signed a partnership agreement in March 2010 targeting the cities’ microelectronics clusters. The partnership will help industry professionals on both sides of the border to better identify opportunities to work together on the five topics outlined in the agreement: education, advanced technologies, public policy, industry and the environment, and SMEs. Two meetings for Grenoble and Dresden SMEs were held in February.

Clusters come together at the Mobile World Congress / Minalogic attended two international events (Embedded World, Date)

Minalogic now has a new educational website (http://decouvrir.minalogic.com). The site gives visitors an easy-to-follow tour of the cluster’s activities and fun, interactive presentations of a selection of technologies developed by cluster members through collaborative projects. Animated characters guide visitors through real-life situations, and the Minalogic three-headed robot is always nearby to offer help!

Jean Chabbal was appointed Chief Representative of Minalogic effective February 1, 2011. He succeeds Nicolas Leterrier, who has held the position since the cluster was founded in 2005.

Minalogic appointed a new Chairman and new Board Members at its Annual General Meeting held in Grenoble on April 8, 2010, in accordance with the cluster’s bylaws.

For the first time, the Minalogic cluster, Ubifrance, the French Ministry of the Economy, Industry and Employment (through the Directorate for Competitiveness Industry and Services), the San Francisco Trade Mission and the AEPI (Grenoble-Isere Economic Development Agency) will be organizing technological partnership meetings at ESC Silicon Valley 2010, to be held from April 29 to 29, 2010, in San Jose, California. During the three-day exhibition, attending companies and laboratories will demonstrate their technology and take part in targeted meetings with key players in the sector.

The two European Clusters of Dresden and Grenoble announce the foundation for a structured and strengthened cooperation , in the areas of R&D, Education, Industry & Institutions related to Nano-Electronics and Nano-Technologies .
